The Snapshots in Time Collection
Gallery: PAT McALEER
Assembled around the career of Marine aviator Edward Potter McAleer, this collection joins scrapbook pages and squadron snapshots to the documents of a flying life: cadet formations at Saint Mary's Pre-Flight School, a 1943 uniform bill, Corsairs in formation over the South Pacific. A carrier rescue photographed aboard USS Boxer in 1951 carries the story from the Pacific war into Korea.
