The Skyraider carries a drop tank and a rack of white cylindrical stores, most consistent with flares - the load of an aircraft expecting a long mission that might run past dark. Only the final digits "776" of its fin stencil can be read. The pairing shown here, a heavily loaded Skyraider working with a Bronco FAC, was the standard arrangement for "Sandy" search-and-rescue escort and for supporting reconnaissance teams on the ground.
