Douglas A-1 Skyraider Taxiing Past Apron Directional Sign, Airshow Setting

A restored Douglas A-1 Skyraider taxis past an airfield apron sign during a flying demonstration. The Skyraider, a rugged single-engine, propeller-driven attack aircraft, served extensively during the Vietnam War, flown by U.S. Air Force, Navy, and allied crews in close air support and search-and-rescue escort ("Sandy") roles. Surviving examples like this one are maintained and flown today by warbird museums and airshow organizations to preserve their history. Project: 219526
