North American T-28 Trojan on Airfield Apron, Operation Tailwind Commemorative Event
A restored North American T-28 Trojan taxis past the airfield apron at a commemorative aviation event. The T-28, originally developed as a primary/basic trainer, was later modified for combat use in Southeast Asia, where Air Commando squadrons flew armed T-28D 'Nomad' variants on strike and forward air control missions in support of operations like Operation Tailwind.
