Skyraider Wingman and OV-10 Bronco in Flight, Southeast Asia
Two A-1 Skyraiders and an OV-10 Bronco fly in loose formation above the clouds of Southeast Asia. The rugged, propeller-driven Skyraider - affectionately called the 'Spad' by its pilots - remained in USAF service throughout the Vietnam War for close air support and rescue escort long after the introduction of jet fighters, prized for its heavy weapons load, long loiter time, and survivability.
