A banner design element created for a Special Operations Association Reunion, built from a vintage photograph of a unit mascot. A live pig, draped in a white blanket lettered 'OLAA' in red, stands amid fuel drums and mud at a forward airfield in Southeast Asia. The overlaid modern lettering completes the pun: the 56th Special Operations Wing — 56th SOW — flew A-1 Skyraiders from Nakhon Phanom in support of MACV-SOG cross-border reconnaissance teams and combat search and rescue, and Operating Location Alpha Alpha was one of its forward locations. The mascot became the wing's emblem in the most literal way possible, and the motif recurs throughout this banner project. Project: 219858
