Tennessee, 7 June 2014. A radial-engined warbird - almost certainly a Douglas A-1 Skyraider - makes a display pass at a summer air show. Aircraft of this type flew close air support and combat search-and-rescue missions in Southeast Asia; a handful survive in flying condition today, maintained by museums and private owners. For veterans of the Skyraider community, seeing and hearing one fly again is the closest thing to a reunion with the aircraft itself. Project: 219309
