Douglas A-1 Skyraider on Ramp, Propeller Turning — Airshow Event, 3–4 May 2019
A preserved Douglas A-1 Skyraider — nicknamed "Spad" by the Air Commandos and Air Force pilots who flew it in Vietnam — photographed on the ramp at a warbird airshow. The Skyraider's rugged airframe and heavy ordnance capacity made it a mainstay of close air support and search-and-rescue escort missions over Southeast Asia. Surviving examples like this one continue to fly today at reunions and heritage events honoring the pilots who flew them in combat. Project: 219252
