This March 1971 Special Order from Headquarters Seventh Air Force (PACAF) formally awards the Distinguished Flying Cross to a group of Air Force officers for extraordinary achievement during aerial flight. The Distinguished Flying Cross recognized exceptional heroism or extraordinary achievement while participating in an aerial flight, a decoration frequently earned during the intensive air operations of the Vietnam War.
