Three Special Orders issued by Headquarters 7th Air Force in 1970 and 1971, awarding and amending Air Medals, Oak Leaf Clusters, and Distinguished Flying Crosses for airmen serving in Southeast Asia. Preserved in the Mel Swanson collection, including the order crediting Major Melvin G. Swanson with a 1st Oak Leaf Cluster to his Air Medal, these papers are primary-source proof of the recognition earned mission after mission.
