Corrugated-metal revetments in the background, filled with earth for blast protection, were a common sight at Vietnam-era airbases. The twin-engine, twin-boom Bronco served as a forward air control and light attack aircraft, marking enemy positions for strike aircraft and providing close air support during the Vietnam War.
