Gallery: Don Dineen 6th SOS

Original papers from Maj. Donald A. Dineen's tour with the 6th Air Commando Squadron: a 1968 AF Form 626 sending A-1 Skyraiders from Pleiku to Da Nang for search-and-rescue support, a personnel roster listing ranks and security clearances, and a pilot's own year-end combat tally. Together they trace the paperwork behind the Air Commandos' "Sandy" missions and the scale of a single tour — more than 1.1 million pounds of ordnance dropped between March 1968 and February 1969.
