Martin B-57 Canberra (Tail No. -3564), U.S. Air Force, Front Three-Quarter View on Ramp
This photograph shows a Martin B-57 Canberra parked on an airfield ramp, its distinctive wingtip fuel tanks and long straight wings clearly visible. Adapted from the British English Electric Canberra design, the B-57 served the U.S. Air Force as a tactical bomber and reconnaissance platform beginning in the early 1950s, later gaining renewed importance during the Vietnam War for night intruder and forward air control missions.
