Ruined Stone Chimney and Foundation Blocks of a Destroyed Building, Camp John Hay, Baguio, Philippines

A lone stone chimney stands amid scattered foundation blocks at Camp John Hay, all that remains of a building destroyed during World War II. The camp, a U.S. Army rest facility in the pine-forested hills above Baguio, was bombed by Japanese forces in December 1941 and endured further damage through years of occupation and the 1945 campaign to liberate Luzon.
