Six American servicemen, heads freshly shaved, pose atop a large external aircraft fuel drop tank somewhere in the China-Burma-India Theater during World War II. Such auxiliary tanks extended the range of transport and fighter aircraft flying the perilous 'Hump' route over the Himalayas to resupply Allied forces in China. Project: 218384
