Wrecked Heinz Tank Car Amid Debris, Roseville Yard Disaster Aftermath, August 1973

Wreckage from the April 1973 Southern Pacific Roseville Yard disaster, in which fire aboard a train carrying bombs bound for Vietnam triggered a series of massive explosions. The blast destroyed or damaged hundreds of nearby railcars, including this unrelated Heinz tank car, seen here derailed with its contents spilled across the tracks. Project: 218336
