Roseville Rail Yard Explosion Aftermath - Bomb Train Wreckage, 1973
The mangled remains of a Southern Pacific rail yard following the 1973 Roseville, California, bomb train disaster. A train carrying aerial munitions bound for Vietnam caught fire and exploded, twisting steel rails and destroying boxcars across the yard, and stands as one of the largest accidental munitions explosions on American soil.
