Drawn from a photo album kept by a member of Naval Air Transport Squadron VR-6 at Naval Air Station Agana, Guam, these images move between monsoon rains over Quonset huts, off-duty hours in mess halls and recreation lounges, and port-call street scenes in Manila, Tokyo, and other Western Pacific cities. Together with their handwritten caption pages, they record the ordinary texture of Navy life across the Pacific in the years after World War II.
