Drawn from the personal albums of Marine aviator Pat McAleer, these snapshots range from Corsairs on carrier decks and a plane-guard helicopter rescue to tent camps, Tarawa's scarred beaches, and a Hawaiian souvenir portrait. Handwritten scrapbook pages give a first-person account of the Pacific war and its Korean-era aftermath.
