A Douglas A-1 Skyraider flies against a clear sky during a commemorative flight. The Skyraider, a rugged piston-engine attack aircraft, served with distinction alongside the Vietnamese Air Force (VNAF) and U.S. forces during the Vietnam War, flying close air support and combat rescue-escort missions. Surviving Skyraiders are now maintained and flown by warbird enthusiasts to honor the pilots who flew them in combat. Project: 219937
