A restored Douglas A-1 Skyraider banks overhead during a 2015 tribute flight. The Skyraider, workhorse of the Vietnam War-era Republic of Vietnam Air Force and U.S. forces, was prized for its ability to carry a heavy ordnance load and loiter over the battlefield far longer than contemporary jets.
