Douglas A-1 Skyraider 'TC 665' Banking in Flight

Douglas A-1 Skyraider 'TC 665' Banking in Flight

A Douglas A-1 Skyraider, tail-coded 'TC 665,' banks sharply against a clear sky. Rugged and heavily armed, the Skyraider was flown by both American and South Vietnamese pilots throughout the Vietnam War, prized for its long loiter time and ability to absorb battle damage while delivering close air support to troops on the ground. Surviving examples like this one are maintained and flown today by warbird owners to honor that legacy. Project: 219937
