Douglas A-1 Skyraider, Three-Quarter Rear View Showing Canopy and Fuselage Profile
A three-quarter view of the Skyraider reveals its distinctive bubble canopy and tapered fuselage as it banks through a turn. Originally designed for U.S. Navy carrier operations, the A-1's rugged single-seat airframe was later adapted for VNAF and USAF close air support squadrons, where its canopy afforded pilots excellent visibility for low-level attack work.
