A tribute banner honoring Marine Corps aviators Capt. Gary L. Bain and 1st Lt. William C. Ryan, Jr., who flew F-4 Phantom II combat missions together as radar intercept team "Boomslang" with VMFA-323 and VMFA-115 out of Chu Lai, South Vietnam, 1968-1969. The collage captures squadron life and camaraderie while memorializing Lt. Ryan, who was killed in action on the same May 1969 mission that left Bain wounded and evacuated.
