Douglas A-1 Skyraider, tail code 'TC', serial AF 39 665, civil registration NX665TC. The U.S. Air Force marked its Skyraiders with the last five digits of the aircraft's original U.S. Navy Bureau Number, so this airframe is BuNo 139665. The 'TC' tail code was carried by the 1st Special Operations Squadron, which flew A-1s from Nakhon Phanom, Thailand; another 1st SOS aircraft recorded in this collection is AF 37 618. The Southeast Asia camouflage scheme and its wave-edged demarcation line above the white under-surfaces are faithfully reproduced. Photographed on indoor display; from the A.
