Second Exposure: A-1 Pilot in Orange Party Suit Greeting a 'Yankee Air Pirate' Jacket Wearer at the Vendor Tables, SOAR XXXVIII, Las Vegas, 22 October 2014

Second exposure of a greeting between two air-war veterans at the 38th Special Operations Association Reunion, Las Vegas, 22 October 2014. The man in the orange one-piece party suit — the traditional off-duty dress of Air Force fighter and attack squadrons — is the collection's owner, a veteran of the A-1 Skyraider detachment at Da Nang that flew close air support for MACV-SOG reconnaissance teams. Facing him, a veteran wears an olive flight jacket carrying the 'Yankee Air Pirate' patch, an ironic adoption of North Vietnamese propaganda language, above an insignia recalling operations over Laos.
