Three veterans study a 'SPADS for MACVSOG' photo-montage banner honoring the Douglas A-1 Skyraider crews of the 56th Special Operations Wing detachment known as Operating Location Alpha Alpha. Nicknamed 'SPAD,' the piston-engined A-1 provided close air support and rescue escort for MACV-SOG reconnaissance teams operating across the borders of Laos and Cambodia.
