Attendees wait in a darkened function room between sessions at the 2013 Special Operations Association Reunion. The reunion program combined social gatherings with briefings, unit meetings and memorial services held in hotel meeting rooms set with rows of banquet chairs. Lanyard name badges, worn by nearly every attendee, were the principal means of identification at the event.
