Three veterans share a laugh on the ballroom floor at the Special Operations Association Reunion, held at a Las Vegas resort in 2013. The annual SOAR gathering draws veterans of Army Special Forces and allied special-operations units, and is closely associated with former members of the Vietnam-era Studies and Observations Group (MACV-SOG). Attendees wore lanyard name badges throughout the event; here two men wear matching flag-shield T-shirts while a third wears the association's beret-and-skull emblem.
