A small, faded thumbnail copy of a battle-damage photograph, held in the discard folder of a Special Operations Association Reunion banner project. A heavy anti-aircraft round — the working file attributes it to a 37 mm or 57 mm weapon — has punched a ragged hole clean through the folded wing panel of a single-engine attack aircraft, exposing the internal structure. A better copy of the same frame survives elsewhere in the collection; this one was rejected as too small to enlarge. Guns of this calibre defended the target areas over which Skyraider crews flew in support of cross-border reconnaissance teams and rescue operations. Project: 219859
