Scanned Book Page: Briefing Notebook Spreads of Capt. Vaughn Bobby Ross, 26 February to 8 March 1970, Running Recon page 409

The closing spreads of Captain Bobby Ross's published briefing notebook, covering late February and early March 1970. The entries record a 105-man Hatchet Force company designated Half Back and its relief by a new company, recon teams identified by the U.S. state abbreviations KY, DEL and OHIO used at Command and Control Central, and an operation flown by a slick, the troop-carrying UH-1. The 8 March page adds a full block of lettered UHF channels and the 282.8 guard frequency of the URC-90 survival radio, a measure of how carefully communications had to be planned for missions flown beyond friendly lines.
