Squadron and base mascots were a common feature of morale at forward air bases throughout Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. This mascot pig, nicknamed "Olaa," is shown wearing a custom-lettered blanket in a maintenance yard typical of the austere support facilities found at Air Commando and Special Operations bases in the theater.
