Visitors observe a camouflage-painted A-1 Skyraider attack aircraft during a commemorative "Tailwind Day" gathering at the Tennessee Museum of Aviation. The Skyraider, a rugged piston-engine attack plane, flew close air support and rescue escort ("Sandy") missions during the Vietnam War, including in support of MACV-SOG ground reconnaissance operations such as 1970's Operation Tailwind.
