Three Vietnam-era veterans reunite decades later beside a lovingly restored Douglas A-1 Skyraider, nicknamed "America." The Skyraider, a rugged propeller-driven attack aircraft, flew countless close air support and rescue-escort missions over Vietnam and Laos, including in support of MACV-SOG's Operation Tailwind in September 1970. Preserved aircraft like this one keep alive the memory of the aircrews who flew them in combat. Project: 219505
