Douglas A-1 Skyraider, Rear Three-Quarter View with Wing-Mounted Ordnance, Tailwind Day Commemorative Event
A Douglas A-1 Skyraider, one of the propeller-driven attack aircraft that provided close air support for ground forces during the Vietnam War, including missions in support of covert cross-border operations such as 1970's Operation Tailwind. This example, photographed at a modern commemorative gathering, is finished in period-accurate Southeast Asia camouflage and displays inert practice ordnance beneath its folded wing. Project: 219505
