This aerial image, associated with Operation Tailwind, shows smoke rising from dense jungle canopy in Southeast Asia. Such smoke was commonly used to mark landing zones, signal aircraft, or indicate the impact of supporting fire during MACV-SOG cross-border reconnaissance missions into Laos in 1970. Project: 219492
