Aircrew staging for Operation Tailwind built their quarters and their club out of what was on hand - in this case a wall of empty 2.75-inch rocket crates, roofed over with planking. The hand-painted signs welcome visitors to 'The Dak To Officers Club.' Tailwind was a MACV-SOG Hatchet Force raid into southern Laos, inserted and extracted by Marine CH-53s of HMH-463 under escort by the AH-1G Cobras of HML-367, callsign Scarface, with Air Force A-1 Skyraiders overhead.
