Retired U.S. Army Sergeant Gary M. Rose is honored at the Pentagon's Hall of Heroes following his award of the Medal of Honor for extraordinary heroism as a Special Forces medic during the top-secret Operation Tailwind in Laos in September 1970. The newly dedicated plaque bears his name alongside the other Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force personnel awarded the nation's highest military honor for actions during the Vietnam War.
