Indigenous Troops Drawing Water from U.S. Army Tanker Truck, Vietnam War Era
Indigenous strike force soldiers, wearing distinctive tiger-stripe camouflage, gather around a U.S. Army water tanker to fill canteens and jerrycans at a forward base camp. Such indigenous troops, often ethnic Montagnard volunteers, served alongside U.S. Special Forces advisors on high-risk reconnaissance and combat missions during the Vietnam War, including operations conducted by MACV-SOG.
