A Bureau of Aeronautics three-view line drawing of the Douglas AD-4 Skyraider, a carrier-based propeller-driven attack aircraft. Later redesignated the A-1, it became renowned in the Vietnam War for close air support and 'Sandy' combat search-and-rescue escort missions.
