Restored Douglas A-1 Skyraider on Display, Lloyd TN Air Museum, June 2014
A restored Douglas A-1 Skyraider, painted in its Vietnam-era Southeast Asia camouflage, sits on display with wings folded in the classic carrier-storage configuration. The A-1 Skyraider served with distinction in Vietnam as a rugged, heavily armed close-air-support and search-and-rescue escort aircraft, flown by U.S. Air Force Air Commandos and Navy/Marine aviators alike. Visitors and veterans gather to view the aircraft at a June 2014 air show event. Project: 219310
