An A-1 Skyraider, tail-coded 'TC 665,' demonstrates its folding wing on the ramp at the Museum of Aviation. Originally engineered for compact carrier stowage, the Skyraider's folding wings remained a functional feature even on Air Force variants. Rugged and heavily armed, the Skyraider served with distinction in Vietnam, flying close air support and search-and-rescue escort missions for Air Commando and Special Operations units.
