USAF and Navy-Marked T-34 Mentor Trainers in Smoke-Trailing Formation Break, Lloyd TN Air Museum Air Show, June 7, 2014
Two vintage military trainer aircraft, painted in the orange-and-white scheme historically used for cadet visibility, break formation trailing white smoke during an air show demonstration. Marked for both the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy, aircraft of this type — most likely Beechcraft T-34 Mentors — trained generations of American military pilots beginning in the 1950s, including many who went on to fly combat aircraft during the Vietnam War.
