A restored Douglas A-1 Skyraider, nicknamed "America," sits on the ramp during a 2014 air show as a North American P-51 Mustang taxis in the background. The rugged, propeller-driven A-1 Skyraider was a mainstay of USAF Air Commando and Navy squadrons during the Vietnam War, valued for its heavy weapons load and endurance in close air support and combat rescue escort missions.
