Restored P-47 Thunderbolt Warbirds on Static Display, Air Show, June 2014
Two restored Republic P-47 Thunderbolt fighters, finished in polished natural metal with period national markings, sit wingtip to wingtip on the ramp during a warbird air show. The P-47 was one of the most heavily produced American fighters of World War II, valued for its rugged construction and firepower; surviving examples like these are lovingly maintained by warbird owners and museums to keep their history flying.
