A pair of vintage military trainer aircraft, marked for the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy respectively, perform a smoke-trailing formation pass during the June 7, 2014 airshow. Aircraft of this type trained thousands of American aviators during and after World War II, and today civilian-owned survivors are popular airshow performers, often flying choreographed formation and aerobatic routines in tribute to their military heritage.
