Formation Pass of Two Orange T-6 Texan/SNJ Trainer Warbirds with Smoke Trails, USAF and Navy Markings
A pair of North American T-6/SNJ Texan trainers, painted in Air Force and Navy color schemes, execute a smoke-trailing formation pass. Developed in the late 1930s and used into the 1950s, the T-6 Texan trained thousands of American pilots for both the U.S. Army Air Forces and U.S. Navy, earning it the nickname 'the pilot maker.' Photographed at a Tennessee air museum airshow, June 7, 2014. Project: 219310
