Douglas A-1 Skyraider (Tail 'TC 665') on Static Display, Museum of Aviation Ramp
A restored Douglas A-1 Skyraider, tail number 665, rests on static display in Southeast Asia camouflage with its wing folded in the type's signature carrier-heritage configuration. Flown by U.S. Air Force squadrons during the Vietnam War for close air support and rescue escort duties, this rugged, propeller-driven attack aircraft is preserved today to help visitors understand the demanding missions flown by 'Sandy' and Air Commando pilots over Southeast Asia.
