Restored A-1 Skyraider with Folded Wing, Tennessee Museum of Aviation, 2014
A restored A-1 Skyraider sits on display at the Tennessee Museum of Aviation, its wing raised in the folded position that once allowed the carrier-based design to be stowed aboard Navy flight decks. Marked with the tail code "TC" and serial number 665, this aircraft represents the rugged, propeller-driven attack planes that flew thousands of close air support and rescue escort missions during the Vietnam War.
