A-1 Skyraider with Folded Wing on Display Ramp, 'Museum of Aviation,' June 2014

This preserved A-1 Skyraider, marked with tail code 'T C' and serial 665, is shown parked outside a Museum of Aviation hangar with its wing raised in the folded position originally designed for carrier stowage. Skyraiders like this one flew close air support, interdiction, and rescue escort missions throughout the Vietnam War before many were retired to museum collections, where they continue to educate visitors about the aircraft's rugged design and long service history.
